Pretending to be you for a Day

“Pretending to be you for a Day” is Shih Yung-Chun’s video work created for a curatorial project "How do you Define ARTIST?" in 2018. Here, he invited a female pastry chef to live in his home, was accompanied by his dog, wore his men's clothing, used his camera to photograph his pottery, and used his brush to paint his style of work.

Shih Yung-Chun, between taking on the roles of film-maker and character, artist and subject, uses documentary shooting techniques to experiment with the borders between real and imagery. Then he present this female pastry chef's photography, painting on the exhibition.
